Review of "The Curious Incident.."

"The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Nightime" in my opinion wasn't a great book. It was hard for me to read because of the layout and way it was written. The protagonist, Christopher, had a difficult time with situatuions at certain points and when this happend their was no enjoyment in reading the book. It just seemed boring and dull because he would just go on and on about one thing and that isn't a plus for me. I understand that is the way the author wrote the book because it shows you the problems Christopher had to deal with, but it made the book discouraging for me to keep on reading.
This just wasn't my type of story and couldn't follow it like other books I've read. I do like the mystery part of the book though because it was going one way, then lead to a completly different path. Such as him finding out about his mother being alive still and that his father murdered the dog because of hatred and jealousy. Also in this book it was hard to make connections to myself which helps me get through reading a book better and understanding it more.
This isn't a great book but you get an understanding of what it's like having a mental disability and dealing with it daily. I guess it's an eye opener in that way.Other than that I can say it's not in my top ten book choices and, although that is just in my opinion.
