The novel I have chosen to read is "Counterfeit Son" by Elaine Marie Alphin. So far in the novel their has been a lot going on. The book is from the prespective of teenage boy, Cameron Miller. Thus far in the book Cameron tells you of what his life was like. It is pretty easy to sum up his entire life in that he lives with his father and doesn't leave the house at all. He is kept at his home by his father. This is because his father is a serial killer in his county and his son knows because he's heard the many murders his father has committed. His father, Hank Miller, is a homosexual and abducts young boys from whereever he finds them and molests them for as long as they cooperate. When they begin to yell or fight Hank tells his son to go in the basement and from their on he murders them.
Hank has done this to about twenty boys. One of which was named Neil Lacey, whom comes from a richer family and was taken at the age of 8. At the begginning of the book you find out the local police have killed Hank in a firefight. After that his son decides he will act as one of the kidnapped boys, Neil Lacey. He goes to the police station and says that he is Neil Lacey and one detective believes him while the others think that it is Cameron Miller. Cameron has to go through a series of tests to have him be sure that he is Neil Lacey, which he is not. I'm enjoying the book thus far and hope it keeps up my intrest.
